A composition a day

March 10th, 2005 by rbanks

Shannon is taking a photo a day. I’m writing in my journal and doing at least one small sketch in it, also on a daily basis. Both of us find it tough to keep up, and feel guilty if we’re late.
I can’t even imagine what Micah went through in his [graphic journal], which obviously must have demanded a lot more from his time. Lovely work, though. Like his inspiration page, too.

    I really appreciate the link.

I missed my own deadline on this project more than once. The point of it was to keep me working at a time when I was struggling creatively. Without boundaries and rules, I tend to get nothing done. I go in all directions at once, rather than focusing on one thing. I start a lot of projects that I never finish, so the structure was helpful, not because I’m so disciplined, but because I tend not to be.

No problem in linking. Thought your work and dedication were inspirational, even if you missed the odd day. Compared to my “one diary entry” effort it gives me something to aim for in the long term.
