More pride

After yesterday’s blog about my pride in the London Olympic bid comes today’s cowardly bombings of London. Today, I feel even more proud of the resilience of Londoners, in the professionalism of our emergency services, and for the calm from everybody.
Seb Coe and co, I’m sorry this has spoilt the party for your amazing win for London. There will be time to celebrate later. Welcome home. Don’t let this take away from what you have done.

London gets the Olympics in 2012

It’s a long way from today until 2012. We have a lot to build and there’s going to be a LOT of politicking getting it done. But today I feel very proud of the people who got the 2012 Olympics for London.
